Since April 2023, violence, conflict, and political unrest have displaced over 14 million people, with 1 in every 5 have to flee from their homes. Food, water, fuel, and medical care are scarce. Half of the population — including 14 million children — face severe food insecurity.

As the tensions continue to escalate, and any sense of normalcy seems out of reach, the Al-Jazirah State has become a new epicenter of violence. Recent attacks have killed or injured nearly 200 civilians and displaced over 47,000. Families flee their homes in terror, and villages risk further devastation. This situation worsens daily.

With a staggering 70% of hospitals non-functional, education at a halt, and hunger widespread, the future of this nation hangs in the balance.
